We finally have a new forum. mDrunk just left after a few hours of spontaneous database conversions. I didn't plan on doing this all tonight but he was like a machine. He moved almost eighty thousand posts across three data schemas tonight.
The new forum will offer many great features that we haven't had. Most of which I haven't even tested yet, so you may get what you pay for. This does mean RSS and avatars, so no bitching.
Anything posted from here on out WILL NOT be moved over.
End of line.
so i don't know if any of you saw this:

but the little boy was in my niece's (baby cakes) class when this happened yesterday. the little boy was just playing in class and passed out. the kids were pretty freaked that the kid was taken away in the ambulance and the paramedics were going to do a fun class today about what happens when you go to the hospital. when she left school, no one knew what had happened to her friend.
last night at dinner, baby cakes blessed the food and in her prayer said, 'dear god, bless the food...and please let no one in our family die today. amen.' at this time, we had no idea that the kid had died and were really concerned that she would say that.
this morning, she wouldn't let my mom go and kept crying saying that my mom would leave her like her friend did. my mom just tried to console her and suggested they go to school to find out what happened to the boy. when they got there, there were 6 grief councilors there to help the class deal. cakes continued to cry and insisted my mom was never going to come back if she left. it has been really horrrible.
i know i am hormonal and carrying a baby, so this is just really hitting me hard right now. just wanted to share and tell you all to give a little extra love to your loved ones today...you never know what will happen. extra love to all the moms and dads out there :o)
Yep, its true. I'm due sometime in early October. Shocking, I know. You should have seen my parents' faces.[:0]
Comments ( 26 )Found out last week that our Battalion received orders to prepare for deployment back to Iraq. Needless to say, we are not amused. We are now ramping up our operation tempo in preparation for a trip to the helicopter gunnery range. This is to get our new pilots qualified for the fun and games that is Iraq. Now don't pout and start worrying yet. We are not slated to leave till the end of the summer, so I'll get to be around for Tyler's 2nd Birthday. You're all invited but you need to book your plane tickets now while they are cheap. Like I keep telling my family, when I know something, I'll be sure to pass it on to you all.

I wanted to share that I too am pregnant!!! Marcus and I are very excited! I finished up my 12th week yesterday! The baby is due on 9/24/09!
It really is crazy how many people are pregnant right now, not only on this board, but around me in general. Must be something in the water [:)]
